The new AI Security module for ESET PROTECT introduces AI Agent Security and AI Behavioral Monitoring to help organisations manage risks associated with autonomous AI systems.
ESET, a global cybersecurity company, has launched new AI-focused security capabilities for its B2B portfolio. The company is introducing an AI Security module to its ESET PROTECT Platform to help businesses address emerging threats across the AI ecosystem.
Announced on 1 October 2026, the new module includes AI Agent Security and AI Behavioral Monitoring. These capabilities aim to protect organisations using autonomous AI agents and improve oversight of their activities.
The launch comes as businesses increasingly adopt AI tools, coding assistants, autonomous agents and AI-driven workflows. While these technologies support productivity and innovation, they also introduce new cybersecurity risks.
ESET Introduces Security for Autonomous AI Agents
The new AI Security module is designed to address threats emerging from the growing use of autonomous AI agents in business environments.
The AI Agent Security capability provides a dedicated security layer for organisations using autonomous AI agents. It aims to protect these systems from malicious AI components while helping businesses maintain productivity without compromising security.
The module also includes AI Behavioral Monitoring, which continuously tracks the behaviour of autonomous AI agents. It is designed to detect and flag suspicious activities, strengthen oversight and reduce the risk of security incidents.
These capabilities extend cybersecurity protection to AI agent operations, where monitoring and controlling automated activities are becoming increasingly important.
AI Adoption Creates New Cybersecurity Risks
The rapid adoption of AI is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape. Employees are using AI tools, developers are adopting coding assistants, and businesses are integrating AI agents into their workflows.
According to ESET, these developments are creating a new attack surface for organisations.
The company’s ESET Enterprise Cybersecurity Report 2026 (India) found that 85% of organisations in India experienced at least one AI-related cyber threat in the previous 12 months.
ESET’s researchers have also identified AI-enabled threats, including PromptLock and PromptSpy, and detected thousands of malicious agentic AI skills.
The findings highlight the need for security measures that address risks associated with AI applications, autonomous systems and AI-driven business processes.
ESET Invests €40 Million in AI Development
ESET is also increasing its investment in AI-focused cybersecurity technologies. The company has committed an additional €40 million investment in AI in 2026 to support its updated B2B portfolio and strengthen protection against emerging threats.
“AI is transforming the way businesses operate, innovate and grow, but it is also reshaping the cybersecurity landscape at an extraordinary pace,” said Parvinder Walia, President of the APAC Region at ESET.
He noted that organisations across the Asia-Pacific region are seeking security solutions that can keep pace with technological change.
“For us, cybersecurity is not only about responding to threats; it is about enabling progress securely,” Walia said.
He added that the company’s investment reflects its commitment to strengthening organisational resilience and helping businesses navigate emerging AI-driven risks.
ESET Strengthens Its Core AI Detection Technologies
Alongside the new AI Security module, ESET is strengthening its existing AI detection technologies. The company said these technologies have been in development for decades and are built on security-first AI foundations designed specifically for cybersecurity.
One of the key technologies is ESET LiveCortex, a cross-perimeter correlation and response engine included in the ESET PROTECT Platform.
ESET is also renaming ESET AI Advisor to ESET LiveAI. The updated product name reflects its position within the company’s core portfolio and its new capability to provide live incident remediation context.
These developments form part of ESET’s broader approach to combining AI-powered detection, threat monitoring and incident response within its cybersecurity offerings.
Supporting Secure AI Adoption
As organisations integrate AI into more business functions, security teams face the challenge of protecting both traditional IT infrastructure and emerging AI environments.
ESET’s updated B2B portfolio aims to address this shift by extending protection to autonomous AI agents and introducing continuous behavioural monitoring.
The company said its approach focuses on enabling businesses to adopt new technologies while strengthening their ability to manage evolving cyber risks. The new AI Security module is part of this broader strategy to support digital resilience in an increasingly AI-driven business environment.
