Los Angeles/New York: HBO’s most talked about and controversial series ‘Euphoria’ has returned with its third season, but the beginning was not pleasant. A battle has broken out on social media over some highly erotic and ‘NSFW’ scenes of actress Sydney Sweeney in the new trailer of the series ‘Weeks Ahead’. After huge protests from the viewers and allegations of ‘insulting women’, the channel not only had to delete the old trailer but also had to make digital changes in it and upload a new version.

The makers of Euphoria have always been accused of glamorizing nudity and controversial content. This time in the trailer, Sydney Sweeney (Cassie) was shown posing in a ‘baby outfit’ with a pacifier and in a ‘dog outfit’.

Digital Changes: Sydney’s pink hoodie was quite transparent in the original trailer, which caused an uproar. In the new trailer, that part at the 0:33 second mark has been digitally covered so that the nudity is less visible.

Social Media Reaction: Users criticized the series creator Sam Levinson, saying that he is only focusing on sexual content instead of character development.

5 Year Leap: Where is the story of ‘Euphoria’ now?

The story of season 3 begins 5 years after the end of the previous season. Now Rue (Zendaya) and her friends escape the world of high school and face the harsh realities of adult life:

Rue (Zendaya): She is now working as a drug mule for Laurie and is heavily in debt.

Jules (Hunter Schafer): Moves to New York and becomes a ‘sugar baby’.
