Ryan Gosling Sends a Precious Gift to DOOL’s Deidre Hall, Star Reacts

Ryan Gosling took a moment to make Deidre Hall, who plays Dr. Marlena Evans in Days of Our Lives, feel special. Hall recently took to Instagram to appreciate the actor’s extravagant gesture toward her. Their back-and-forth social media exchanges began recently following Gosling’s appearance on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he arrived to promote his movie Project Hail Mary.

Ryan Gosling sent flowers to Days of Our Lives star Deidre Hall

Hall shared an image of her standing near the bouquet of pink peonies, white delphinium, and Queen Anne’s Lace, sent by Gosling for her at DOOL studio. Extending her thanks for the adorable gesture, she wrote in the caption, “Ryan, just when I thought I couldn’t feel more adored… your ‘wall’ of flowers arrived. Unnecessary, but greatly appreciated.”

When Gosling appeared on Happy Sad Podcast, he praised the daytime actors, who have less time to prepare but still pull out their performances from large amounts of material impressively, and that too in one take. He also appreciated Hall’s Dr. Marlena, revealing that he really liked her character being possessed by the devil storyline.

Touched by his kind words for the actors and the daytime show, Hall took to Instagram to invite Gosling to the DAYs set. She assured, referring to his favorite storyline, “Nobody will be possessed. And if they are, I’ll keep an eye on you.”

Gosling then went on to accept her invitation with a video shared by Project Hail Mary‘s official Instagram account. He said, “Deidre Hall, are you kidding me? Yes! This is a very enthusiastic yes to a very cordial invitation to visit you on set. I will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration. It wasn’t Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront. It wasn’t [Robert] De Niro in Taxi Driver. It was you. And I want to thank you for your offer. Any time, anywhere… You tell me, I’ll be there.” Eva Mendes, the wife of Gosling, also expressed her enthusiasm about this exciting collaboration in the comment section.
