Amethi. Under the new scheme of Yogi Government of UP, these are made available to the farmers on subsidy and free of cost. At present it has been decided to distribute them through e-lottery. For this, an appeal has been made to the farmers to make booking on the portal, those farmers who have not been able to make the booking till now, should do so as soon as possible. Failure to do so may deprive them of benefits.

District Agriculture Officer Devendra Singh Niranjan said that under the scheme, farmers will have to make booking on the portal to get seeds of wheat, rapeseed, mustard, barley, gram, pea, lentil etc. on subsidy. To make booking, registration on the portal of Department of Agriculture is mandatory. Seed booking will be possible only after registration.
As part of the booking process, the option of seed minikit will be displayed on the Darshan-2 portal of the Agriculture Department, after clicking on which the option to apply will be displayed. After that, agriculture department registration number, farmer ID will have to be entered, OTP will go on the registered mobile.
After entering OTP, all farmers will be able to book seed minikit. Seeds will be received on subsidy only after booking on the portal of the Department of Agriculture, otherwise seeds will not be received on subsidy through any other means. Seeds include all types of normal seeds, all types of performance and all types of hybrid seeds.
