After such cases came to light, the department has issued an advisory and appealed to all the beneficiaries to take extra precautions.

Be cautious of calls coming from these numbers
The department has appealed to the farmers not to trust calls coming from unknown numbers, WhatsApp calls, video calls or contact through social media. It is especially advised not to pick up calls coming from numbers like 07056847570, 07088438459, 0756847570 and 9520711020.
Do not share your information with anyone
Farmers have been asked not to give their personal or bank related information to any unknown person. Fraudsters can try to win trust (Farmers Scheme) by using already available information and later cause financial loss.
If any person talks claiming himself to be a departmental officer or asks for information by taking the name of any officer, then his words should not be believed immediately. It is important to first confirm the information with the concerned office.
