The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the team for the Test series against Sri Lanka starting from August 15. Madhya Pradesh's experienced all-rounder Saransh Jain is being talked about the most in this team. Who got a chance to join the Indian Test team for the first time at the age of 33. If Saransh, who has been playing domestic cricket for a long time, makes his debut in this series, he will be included among the players who debuted at an older age. Saransh was taught this art of off spin by his father Subodh. Subodh himself has played for the Ranji team of Madhya Pradesh. His dream was to play for India but his dream could not be fulfilled. Now this dream has been fulfilled by his son Saransh.
It was the year 2014 when 21-year-old Saransh Jain was touring Australia with a club team from Indore and was trying to fulfill his dream in limited overs cricket. At that time, whenever he called and asked about his father Subodh Jain, his mother or elder brother would tell him that he was busy. However, his father was also his first and only coach. When Saransh returned home, he was shocked to see his father who was suffering from oral cancer.

Saransh's father Subodh, 61, said, 'After the surgery, my mouth was badly swollen and I was not even able to speak. As soon as Saransh saw me he started crying bitterly. I picked up a pen and wrote on a piece of paper – Son, the more good you do, the sooner I will get well.
Family's dream came true
When Saransh was included in the Indian Test team for the first time on Tuesday at the age of 33, his and his family's dream came true. With this, what his father had written also proved to be true. Saransh was praying at the Hanuman temple when the selectors announced the team. Subodh told that but he was inside the temple and could not pick up the phone at first. When he came out he came to know about his selection. He said that I am very happy.
This former off-spinner had taken 23 wickets in 9 Ranji Trophy matches. He said that he knew from the beginning that his son was different from others. Subodh said, 'I realized this when he was playing under-12 cricket. Saransh and Rajat Patidar have been playing together since the age of 11. People who saw him play told me there was something special about him. Of course I am his coach but I am also his father. This journey has not been easy for Saransh. He took five wickets in his debut match in the Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu but was soon dropped from the team.

Why does Subodh consider his son special?
Subodh says about his son Saransh, 'Former Madhya Pradesh coach Chandrakant Pandit has seen something special in him.' Saransh played a key role with both bat and ball in Madhya Pradesh's Ranji Trophy victory. He took 16 wickets in two Duleep Trophy matches and also performed well in the Irani Cup. Subodh has an advice for his son, 'Son, if you get a chance, play cool. Don't take any kind of pressure. He also says that now Saransh watches Ravichandran Ashwin's videos and keeps learning but when he started, I was his idol. I have coached many players playing in Ranji Trophy, including my son.
