Buldhana: Athletes of Buldhana district achieved great success with their unique skills in the state level fencing competition held at Parbhani from 21st to 23rd August. Jijau's laymen who participated under the Buldhana District Fencing Association bagged gold, silver and bronze medals in various sports. On the strength of excellent performance in this state level competition, all the winners and eligible athletes were selected for the upcoming national fencing competition to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. In this, Sarthak Jadhav, Devansh Chavan, Khushi Waghmare in EP category, Shivansh Waghmare in foil category, Sukhveer Jadhav, Veer Kulat, Ved Shingane, Karthik Ridhe in saber category showed a fierce fight and sportsmanship till the last moment.

Also, Association Secretary Shesh Narayan Lodhe, State Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Awardee Teacher, President Shivaji Raje Jadhav, Vice President Mayur Belbir, Joint Secretary Shivshree Nitin Jeughale and Praveen Misal were guided.
State level competition
Somshree Patil won the gold medal in the saber category in the state level competition. Swara Jagtap and Kranti Kulat won bronze medals in the same event. In the EP category, Sharwari Misal won silver, while Akshara Pandav and Arohi Kshirsagar won bronze. Anvita Sawle achieved double success in the foil category with a silver and a bronze medal to her credit. Ovi Aher won the bronze medal. In the event, the medal was missed by just a few points in very tight matches. However, the players who are ranked in the 'Top 15' on the strength of their brilliant game are also getting special appreciation.
