₹ 3,000 help to women in Bengal, know complete details of Annapurna Yojana

Kolkata. Big news has come for the women of West Bengal. There is information that the process of providing financial assistance to eligible women under Annapurna Yojana will start from today i.e. 17 September 2026. Under the scheme, there is a provision to provide assistance of ₹ 3,000 every month to the eligible beneficiaries. This amount will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer i.e. DBT. According to reports, the September installment is to be paid to around 1 crore 58 lakh eligible women.

Which women will be eligible?

According to reports, to avail the benefits of the scheme, the woman should be between 25 to 60 years of age and should be a resident of West Bengal. At the same time, women receiving regular government salary or pension and income tax payers have been kept out of the scheme. Eligibility conditions are also applicable to employees associated with certain government and government-aided institutions.

What to do if money is not received in the account?

If the amount of ₹ 3,000 has not reached your bank account despite being eligible, then first of all it is important to check the bank account information and Aadhaar-Bank linking status. Correct bank account details and required verification are very important for DBT payment. Verification of beneficiaries is also being done by the government. In this process, information about removal of some names from the list which did not fulfill the eligibility conditions has also come to light.
