He asked the state government why the investigation report has not been made public yet? Why were the alleged clone apps and fake APK files not investigated? What action was taken after receiving information about the irregularities and how much was the Central Government's instructions followed in all the districts of the state?
He demanded that a comprehensive and transparent investigation should be conducted into MNREGA works, attendance and payments in every development block and gram panchayat of all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, strict action should be taken against the culprits and the government should issue a white paper on the entire issue. He said that this money is the hard-earned money of the public and any kind of irregularity with the rights of poor laborers is not acceptable.
Along with this, welcoming the decision of the High Court regarding three-tier Panchayat elections, he said that Panchayats are the foundation of democracy and rural development. Conducting Panchayat elections on time is not a prerogative of the government, but a constitutional obligation. He questioned the intentions of the state government regarding the delay in elections and demanded to conduct fair and transparent Panchayat elections within three months as per the directions of the court.
