On the last Monday of the holy month of Sawan, there is a huge crowd of devotees in Shiva temples across the country. Devotees are praying for a happy life till the Jalabhishek and worship of Bholenath. Considering the number of devotees, strict security arrangements have been made in the Shiva temples.
A large number of devotees are reaching from Varanasi and Ujjain to Puri. In Varanasi, a large number of devotees gathered at Kashi Vishwanath Dham since Monday morning. Devotees from different parts of the country came to worship Baba Vishwanath. Long queues of devotees were seen waiting for their turn to enter the temple and offer prayers.
The temple complex is beautifully decorated with Rudraksha and flowers. Varanasi District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar said that a large number of devotees are coming to Shiva temples for Jalabhishek. He said, “Despite it being just 5 in the morning, more than 60,000 devotees visited Kashi Vishwanath.
In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, devotees are reaching Mahakaleshwar temple to participate in the special puja. A devotee said, “The last Monday of Sawan is very special for me, because I got the opportunity to watch the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakal early in the morning.”
There is a huge crowd at Kailash Temple in Etah, Uttar Pradesh. Devotees are performing Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. In Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, devotees gathered at a Shiva temple in Sardarnagar for a special puja during Sawan. Rudrabhishek ceremony was also organised, in which devotees participated in the sacred rituals.
Devotees are also reaching Baba Garib Nath Dham in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. At the same time, in Buxar, Bihar, District Magistrate Sahila and Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya took stock of the arrangements on Kanwariya Marg from Ramrekha Ghat to Baba Brahmeshwar Nath Temple. He also offered prayers in the temple.
A devotee told that people from all over Buxar had come with their vows and were standing in long queues for Jalabhishek at Baba Brahmeshwar Nath temple.
In Puri, Odisha, thousands of Kanwariya devotees visited Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath on the last Monday of Sawan. In a devotional atmosphere, the ritual of opening the doors of the temple ‘Dwara Phita Niti’ was completed.
The last Monday of Sawan has special religious significance for the devotees of Lord Shiva. Chanting of mantras, prayers, Jalabhishek and special rituals are taking place in temples across the country.
