Lucknow. Football excitement reigned supreme at Lucknow’s Chowk Stadium on Thursday. While Falcon Reserves registered impressive victories in the Lucknow District Football League matches, the Avinash Chaturvedi Football Tournament also commenced. The players delivered impressive performances in both competitions, enthralling the spectators.
Falcon Reserves defeated Midwinter Club 3-0
Falcon Reserves secured full three points by defeating Midwinter Club 3-0 in the opening match of the Lucknow District Football League. Rehan was the hero, scoring two brilliant goals in the 29th and 43rd minutes. Gaurav then consolidated the team’s victory with a goal in the 51st minute. Falcon Reserves dominated the match throughout, maintaining excellent ball control and denying Midwinter Club any chance of a comeback.
TFA-Big Blue match ended in a goalless draw
The second match of the day saw a close contest between TFA (A) and Big Blue. Both teams played aggressively and made several attempts to score, but neither team could score in the stipulated time. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams having to settle for one point each.
Avinash Chaturvedi Football Tournament Begins
The Avinash Chaturvedi Football Tournament also began on Thursday at Chowk Stadium. Councilor Anurag Mishra inaugurated the tournament. In the first match, Jagran Public School made a winning start by defeating Bal Vidya Bharti 2-0. For Jagran, Taraksh Verma scored in the 15th minute and Arindam in the 40th minute to secure the team’s victory.
Mount Fort Wins a One-Sided Victory
In the second match of the day, Mount Fort School performed brilliantly and defeated St. Mary’s School 5-0. For Mount Fort, Syed Azhar scored in the 7th minute, Agastya Singh in the 10th minute, Vardan in the 20th minute, Divyansh in the 45th minute, and Hasan Zaman in the 50th minute. Mount Fort’s players played aggressively throughout the match and did not give St. Mary’s School any chance. With this big win, the team made a strong start to the tournament.
