Lucknow, Amrit Thoughts: Ramleela featuring famous film artists of Ayodhya will present its eighth edition in Delhi for the first time this year. For the first time, child artistes in the age group of three to 16 years will perform in the morning session in Ramlila to be held at Mavalankar Hall of Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi from October 10 to 20. In the evening, more than 60 film artists will bring alive various episodes of Ramkatha on stage. After this, the ninth edition of Ramlila will be organized in Ayodhya in January 2027.
This Ramlila, which started during the Corona period with the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has now made its mark in the country and the world. According to the organizers, last year its presentation was watched by more than 62 crore viewers. This year it will be broadcast in 40 languages through more than 80 satellite channels and preparations are on to take the message of Rambhakti to more than 60 countries. Child artistes aged between three to 16 years will perform from 10 am to 12 noon in the event to be held from October 10 to 20 in Delhi. Film artistes will perform from 7 to 10 pm. A fair will also be organized at the venue from 4 pm to 11 pm. There is seating arrangement for about 600 spectators in the hall, while a 120 feet long LED screen will be installed on the stage.
According to the organisers, Ramlila is being organized for the first time with children of such a young age. In this, the child form of Lord Shri Ram will be specially presented. The huge LED screen and multilingual broadcast with children's acting will make it special technically too. The cast, led by founders Subhash Malik (Bobby) and Shubham Malik, is rehearsing in Delhi and Mumbai.
Ravi Kishan will be seen as Ram for the first time
This time, Gorakhpur MP and actor Ravi Kishan will be seen in the role of Lord Shri Ram for the first time. He will play the role of Ram on October 19. Earlier, he had played the roles of Kevat, Lord Parshuram and Bharat in the same Ramleela. In Ramleela, the role of Ravana will be played by Arun Bakshi, Bindu Dara Singh will play the role of Lord Shiva, Puneet Issar will play the role of Lord Parshuram, Raza Murad will play the role of Ahiravan and Avtar Gill will play the role of Meghnad. In total, more than 60 film stars will play different characters.
Ninth edition will be held in Ayodhya in January
The ninth edition of Ramlila will be held in Ayodhya from 15 to 25 January 2027. According to the organizers, till now seven editions have been successfully organized in Ayodhya. This Ramlila, which started with the permission and initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the Corona period, has now gained recognition at the national and international level. According to organizer Subhash Malik, this year also there are preparations for telecast in 40 languages on more than 80 satellite channels. The aim is to deliver the message of Ramkatha to more than 60 countries. The event being held for the first time in Delhi will make the people of the capital experience the grandeur of Ramlila of Ayodhya. The presentation of child artists and the fair is expected to transform the entire event into a joyful atmosphere.
