Former Chinese PM Zhu Rongji: Former Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongji II has died at the age of 98. Zhu Rongji is considered the father of economic reforms. It was the former PM who got China included in WTO and also helped a lot in bringing economic growth in China. According to Chinese state media, Zhu Rongji oversaw major and difficult changes in state-owned industries in the 1990s and got China admitted into the World Trade Organization. This helped China begin its tremendous economic boom. His death marks the end of an era in China's political and economic world.

Chinese state news agency Xinhua said Zhu Rongji died of illness in Beijing at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Zhu Rongji breathed his last at the age of 98. Zhu Rongji was the one who was once forced to do manual labor by being exiled to rural areas for praising reforms in other communist countries, but later as the Prime Minister of China from 1998 to 2003, he made many big and important changes.
