Patrick Raymon McGoldrick, the former CEO and Managing Director of Tata Technologies, sold shares valued at around Rs 165 crore through block deals on the BSE.
He offloaded 2.1 million shares, equivalent to a 0.51 percent stake, in four tranches on Friday.
The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 785 each, making the total transaction value Rs 164.85 crore.
As a result, McGoldrick’s holding in the company dropped from 1.13 percent to 0.62 percent.
Institutional investors like ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, 360 One Asset Management, and Carnelian Asset Management & Advisors acquired the shares.
McGoldrick retired as CEO and Managing Director in September 2014 after serving the company for over two decades.
On Friday, Tata Technologies shares closed at Rs 799.85 on the BSE, down 0.59 percent, with a 52-week high of Rs 890.15 and a low of Rs 507.50.
The stock has declined more than 2 percent over the last two years.
The Pune-based company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 204.17 crore in the March quarter, with revenue from operations at Rs 1,572.22 crore.
However, net profit for FY26 fell to Rs 546.59 crore from Rs 676.95 crore in FY25.
Furthermore, the firm posted an 11.5 percent sequential drop in consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27, with Rs 181 crore in net profit compared to Rs 204 crore in Q4 FY26, according to a stock exchange filing.
