'Foxes, chickens and sheep in Himachal', Sudhir Sharma said on Priyanka Gandhi

Congress National General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi's Mandi tour in Himachal has been cancelled. These days Priyanka Gandhi is staying in her Chharabra house in Shimla. Just before his visit, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and senior leader Sudhir Sharma took a sharp jibe at Priyanka Gandhi and the Congress government through a post on social media. Sudhir Sharma targeted Priyanka Gandhi and Congress leaders by mentioning fox, hen and sheep in his gestures.

Priyanka Gandhi's program to visit Deuri School in Mandi was proposed on Tuesday but it was suddenly canceled on Monday. Even before the tour, political rhetoric regarding Deori School in Mandi intensified. Let us tell you that the new building of Deori School in Mandi district has been built at a cost of about Rs 4.70 crore. When Priyanka Gandhi visited the area after the disaster, the children demanded a new school building. There was news that Priyanka Gandhi will go to Deori on August 18 to inaugurate this school. However, this program has been canceled for the time being.

Sudhir Sharma's sharp taunt on Congress government

Sudhir Sharma, while sharing a post related to Priyanka Gandhi's visit, wrote that Priyanka Gandhi would not have even been told that this school had been inaugurated by Education Minister Rohit Thakur, a plaque had been installed, it had become a temple, but sycophants do not see all this. Along with this, he wrote an English proverb, 'If you forgive the fox for stealing your chickens, he will take your sheep.' That means, if you forgive the fox for stealing chickens, he will also take your sheep.

Deori school became political arena

Actually, the new building of Deori School in Mandi district has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 4.70 crore. According to reports, Priyanka Gandhi had visited the area after the disaster and while meeting the children the demand for a new school building came up. Priyanka Gandhi was expected to reach Deori on August 18 for the inauguration of this building.

This issue now seems to be becoming the new center of political tussle between BJP and Congress. Sudhir Sharma's statement is not only aimed at Priyanka Gandhi's visit, but also at the government giving political shape to a program which BJP leaders are saying has already been completed.

'Whose inauguration, who gets the credit?' political question arising

From Sudhir Sharma's post, a question is emerging in the political circles, if Education Minister Rohit Thakur had already inaugurated the school building and the inauguration plaque had also been installed, then why was there a need to get the inauguration done by Priyanka Gandhi? However, Priyanka Gandhi's scheduled visit to Deori on August 18 was cancelled. There was already scope for change in the final programme.

Priyanka's entry into Jairam's stronghold

The political importance of this entire incident increases because Deori is in Mandi district, which is considered to be the home district of former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur. In such a situation, the arrival of the National General Secretary of Congress here and the inauguration of the school building is not just being seen as a government program but also as a political message.

Sudhir Sharma's sarcasm is being seen in this political background. The special thing is that instead of a long political speech, he has directly targeted Congress through a saying. This comment of 'fox-chickens-sheep' can now give more edge to the political debate on social media.

However, the new school building in Deori is ready, but with its inauguration, a new chapter seems to be opening in the politics of Himachal, the issue has now become more of 'credit' and 'political message' than the building.
