The Indian cricket team will play two Test matches against the Sri Lankan cricket team from August 15th to August 27th, which are part of the World Test Championship. Ahead of that, a major announcement has been made by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. According to this, there is great news for fans ahead of the two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka. Fans are overjoyed. This good news concerns fans’ entry into the stadium for the India-Sri Lanka match. 

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that fans will have free entry to cricket stadiums during the Test series between India and Sri Lanka. Fans will not be required to purchase tickets. They can enjoy the India-Sri Lanka match with free entry. Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that public entry will be completely free for both Tests in Galle and Colombo.

There will be free entry for fans on these days

The first Test between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from August 15th to 19th. The second Test between the two teams will then take place at the Sinhalese Sports Club from August 23rd to 27th. Both matches will begin at 10:00 AM. Therefore, the stadium gates will open at 8:00 AM for free entry for fans.

Sri Lanka Board made a big announcement

Sri Lanka Cricket has made a significant decision to increase spectator numbers for both Test matches. The board released an official statement, stating, “Sri Lanka Cricket would like to announce that spectator entry for the upcoming Test series between Sri Lanka and India will be free. This will provide cricket fans with a fantastic opportunity to witness world-class Test cricket.”

From which gate will fans get free entry?

To ensure uninterrupted access for spectators to the matches between India and Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Cricket has designated dedicated entry points at both grounds. Spectators attending the Galle matches will receive free entry through Gate 4, while in Colombo, fans can enter the grounds through Gates 3, 4, 5, and 7. 

Sri Lanka Cricket announced this, stating, “Sri Lanka Cricket wholeheartedly invites cricket fans, young cricketers, families, and sports enthusiasts across the country to take advantage of this initiative and experience the thrill of international Test cricket between Sri Lanka and India.” It should be noted that a three-day warm-up match is currently being played between India and Sri Lanka XI in Colombo.
