IND vs SL: The team management is quite upset due to the no-balls bowled by the Indian spinners in the second Test match being played against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Indian spinners are continuously bowling with their feet ahead of the crease and giving no-balls. The no-balls being bowled continuously by Ravindra Jadeja and debutant Saransh Jain have become a matter of concern for the team management. When Indian team's spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule was asked a question about this in the post-match press conference, he accepted the problem and gave a unique suggestion to the ICC. Bahutule said that if the rule of free-hit on no-balls is implemented in Test cricket also, then the percentage of no-balls in Test cricket will definitely reduce significantly.

The number of no-balls bowled will reduce due to introduction of free-hits in Tests.
Indian spin coach Sairaj Bahutule further said, “I am not a rule keeper, but if there is a rule of free-hit on no-balls, then obviously the no-balls will definitely reduce. No team would want to give that extra ball and extra runs to the opposition by bowling a no-ball. Of course, there is talk about the take-off point. They are understanding what is happening and are sure to minimize it. A process will formally be put forward.

Indian spinners have bowled 10 no-balls in the Colombo test match.
