Shukul Bazar, Amethi. Preparations for Ganesh Mahotsav have started in full swing in the town. This time a grand Ganesh Mahotsav is being organized at two different places in Shukul Bazar town. The festival will commence from 14th September with a huge Jalbhari Yatra. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the event.
During the festival, captivating presentations of various religious and cultural programs will be given by artists invited from Kashi and Kolkata. Along with this, there will be many religious events including bhajan-kirtan, religious awakening, tableaus of gods and goddesses.
According to the organizers, along with the regional devotees, a large number of devotees from Amethi, Barabanki and Ayodhya districts will also participate in the programs. A special Ganesh Mahotsav will be organized in the Durga Mata courtyard inside the town, courtesy the patron Sanjay Kaushal and other devotees.
Here a grand statue of Lord Ganesha will be installed and various religious programs will be organized along with rituals and worship. Ganesh Mahotsav will be organized at Katra intersection with the courtesy of Vivek Gupta and other devotees. Here too, daily religious programs along with devotional and cultural presentations will be the center of attraction for the devotees. People associated with the organizing committee say that the objective of Ganesh Mahotsav is to strengthen the religious and cultural environment in the area and to connect people with the devotion of Lord Ganesha.
During the festival, a special atmosphere of reverence and devotion will be seen in the town. Preparations are in the final stages at both the venues for this grand religious event starting from 14th September. The organizers have appealed to the people of the area to come in maximum numbers to have darshan of Lord Ganesha and participate in religious programs.
