Vietnam gasoline and diesel prices rose Thursday afternoon.
The popular fuel RON95 went up 4.13% from a week ago to VND24,230 (US$0.94) per liter.
E5 RON92 gained 5.60% to VND23,740. Diesel increased by 2.67% to VND28,480.
The global oil market in recent days has been affected by information related to continued military attacks between the U.S. and Iran, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.
The U.S. Federal Reserve is likely to raise interest rates at the end of this year to curb inflation.

These factors pushed global oil prices higher compared with the previous period. RON95 rose 9.2% to $132.20 per barrel, while diesel increased 4.1% to $161.
After the adjustment, Vietnam’s gasoline price remained 14– 50% lower than prices in Cambodia, Thailand, China and Laos.
