Television actor Gaurav Khanna has quit Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 after making an emotional decision to leave the stunt-based reality show despite winning the elimination task.
Gaurav had initially been eliminated from the competition but returned as a wild-card contestant. However, just a week after his comeback, the actor decided to walk away from the show, citing an elbow injury and concerns about his ability to perform upcoming stunts at his best.
Gaurav wins elimination stunt but chooses to quit
The elimination stunt required contestants to climb onto a platform suspended in the air and pull out flags attached to it.
Gaurav successfully pulled out two flags, while Rubina Dilaik managed to pull out one. Ruhaanika Dhawan slipped and fell from the platform, forcing her stunt to be stopped.
Although Gaurav emerged as the winner of the elimination stunt and Ruhaanika was facing elimination, he surprised everyone by choosing to leave the competition.
Speaking to host Rohit Shetty, Gaurav explained that continuing the show could put his health at risk.
He said he did not want to take someone else’s place if he could not give 100 per cent in the physically demanding challenges ahead.
Gaurav breaks down in tears
Gaurav became emotional while announcing his decision and apologised to both Rohit Shetty and his fellow contestants.
He broke down in tears before hugging Rohit and touching his feet as he prepared to leave the show.
Ruhaanika also approached Gaurav and tried to convince him to reconsider his decision. However, the actor remained firm, saying his elbow injury meant he could not perform at his full potential.
His decision also meant that Ruhaanika was saved from elimination.

Gaurav’s emotional exit prompted an outpouring of support from fans on social media.
Several viewers praised the actor for prioritising his health while also appreciating his decision to give another contestant an opportunity to continue in the competition.
One fan called Gaurav a “pure-hearted person” who had already won the audience’s hearts, while another said viewers could clearly see his sadness and stress.
Another comment described him as a “winner” and praised him as a genuine and kind-hearted contestant.

This season of Khatron Ke Khiladi follows the theme ‘Old vs New: Darr Ka Naya Daur’, bringing together returning contestants and new faces.
The season initially featured Old vs New team-based challenges before contestants began competing individually for a place in the finale.
The finale was reportedly shot on September 13, with fans speculating about the possible winner. Avinash Mishra and Farrhana Bhatt are among the names being discussed by viewers.
