India batter and East Zone captain Ishan Kishan scored a hundred in the Duleep Trophy 2026 final against South Zone. His girlfriend Aditi Hundia celebrated the memorable moment with a heartwarming message. The summit clash is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. His team had lost 3 wickets for 146 when he joined Shikhar Mohan in the middle. The southpaw completed his fifty off 71 balls before reaching the three-figure mark in 122 deliveries. Following Kishan’s impressive batting display, Aditi took to Instagram and shared a story for her boyfriend.

The wicket-keeper batter was unbeaten on 111 off 135 balls at the end of the first day’s play, having smashed 14 fours and a six. He has taken his century count to 10 in first-class cricket, and it was his first of the tournament.
Ishan Kishan’s ton puts East Zone in a strong position
East Zone captain Ishan Kishan won the toss and elected to bat in order to take advantage of the good bowling conditions. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhimanyu Easwaran, the two openers, added 100 runs off 88 balls. Vaibhav managed 44 off 37 balls while Easwaran posted 72 off 86 deliveries.
Shikhar Mohan was also among the run-scorers, while Sudip Gharami had an ordinary day with the bat. Ishan and Mohan restored the East Zone’s dominance with a 94-run stand off 128 balls. Mohan departed after scoring 85 off 120 balls.
Kishan kept hitting the bowlers and brought up his ton, receiving applause from his teammates and the fans. East Zone finished at 385 for 4 after 79 overs, with Kumar Kushagra on 75 off 63 balls.
Kishan had struggled in the quarter-final and semi-final against North East Zone and Central Zone, respectively. It seems he had reserved his best for the final, and his recent contribution would have alerted the selectors, including chairman of the selection panel Ajit Agarkar, who was present in the stands during the course of the proceedings.
Ishan has proved himself across formats in recent years, and there is a possibility of him playing Test cricket for India after 2023.
