It is very easy to see complete information about mobile numbers issued in your name. For this you just have to follow some very simple steps:
- First of all, open the official website of Sanchar Saathi on your phone or laptop.
- After this, click on the option 'Know Mobile Connections in Your Name' service given on the website.
- Now use TAFCOP service here.
- After this enter your current mobile number and complete your verification through OTP.
- After completion of the verification process, the complete list of all the mobile connections issued in your name will appear on your screen.
- Now look at this shown list very carefully and identify which of these numbers you are actually using yourself.
If you see an unknown or fake SIM, do this immediately
If after checking this list you see a mobile number which you never bought or do not use, then do not ignore it at all. Immediately report such fake connections on Sanchar Sathi portal. Any user can easily lodge an online complaint about such fake or useless connections registered in his name.
Along with this, the government has given a strong warning to all the people of the country that they should not give, sell, rent or hand over any SIM card issued in their name to any other person even by mistake. The government has clarified that if anyone is caught misusing the SIM card bearing your name, then that customer can be punished with a heavy fine of up to Rs 50 lakh and a jail sentence of up to three years.
