Incomplete map sparked anger
To celebrate her success, Lovlina had gone to dinner at Glasgow’s renowned Indian restaurant, “Mr. Sings India.” However, she became enraged upon seeing the napkin on the table. Lovlina noticed that the entire Northeast region was missing from the map of India printed on the napkin.
Lovlina, who dedicated her achievement to the flood victims of Assam, immediately protested this serious negligence. Speaking to a news agency, she said that every part of the country is extremely important and that only the correct and complete map of India should be displayed anywhere in the world.

Lovlina’s courageous and patriotic act was also fully supported by Boxing Federation of India (BFI) President Ajay Singh. He further elaborated on the matter, stating that not only was the Northeast region missing from the restaurant napkins, but Jammu and Kashmir was also incorrectly depicted. Ajay Singh strongly objected to the restaurant management, demanding the immediate removal of all the offending napkins and the use of only the correct map in the future.
He clarified that such serious and sensitive omissions cannot be tolerated at any place representing Indian culture, cuisine, and identity abroad.
