In that direction, the state government has taken an important step and started drafting the 'Maharashtra Digitization and Exchange of Land Token Assets Act (Delta Act)'. The Act will create the necessary legal framework for blockchain-based tokenization of land and real estate.

He said that participation of experts from SEBI, BSE, NSE, industry, technology, law and education sectors is being ensured in this process. Tokenization is the process of converting capital trapped in real estate into productive economic opportunities.
