Prime Video has announced September 25, 2026 as the worldwide premiere date for its upcoming Prime Original Movie Don’t Be Shy.
Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the film is produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions, with co-producers Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani.
The young-adult romantic comedy introduces four fresh faces—Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati—who headline a story about friendship, first love, heartbreak, and the messy yet beautiful journey of growing up. The film also features Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik in pivotal roles.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, described the film as “a joyful, heartfelt celebration of friendship, love, and the beautifully messy journey of growing up.” Alia and Shaheen Bhatt, in a joint statement, said the film captures “something so honest about being young—the friendships that shape you, the first loves that change you, and the heartbreaks that stay with you.”
Don’t Be Shy will stream exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
