The cinematic world is buzzing with the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Upsdirected by National Award winner Geetu Mohandas. This vibrant period mobster drama has already sparked a whirlwind of reactions since its teaser first hit the screens. Amidst all the buzz, there’s one tale of grit and determination that stands out—that of the radiant Kiara Advani.
Kiara, now at the heart of a fiery debate following the release of the song Tabahi in which she stars alongside Yash, has been showered with praise from her co-star, the talented Huma Qureshi. At a glitzy pre-release event in Chennai, Huma couldn’t hold back her admiration. “I have something to say about Kiara,” she began, her voice filled with sincerity. “This isn’t a spoiler, but both of us were part of a scene in Toxic that demanded we endure a relentless rainstorm.”
Huma recounted, “She was expecting a baby at the time, and there we were, drenched, with me battling a pounding headache. But every time I thought of complaining, I’d glance at Kiara. Six months pregnant, she stood there, unwavering and resolute, like a fortress. Witnessing that, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, this is truly inspiring.’ I’m confident she’ll receive immense love for this film. Love you heaps, Kiara.”
Kiara and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, joyously announced the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram last July. Their heartfelt message read, “Our hearts are full, and our world has been forever altered. Blessed with a baby girl. – Kiara and Sidharth.” Respecting their privacy, they requested photographers to refrain from capturing images of their newborn.
Later in the year, the couple introduced their daughter to the world as Saraayah Malhotra, a name revealed through Instagram. The duo, who tied the knot amid the splendor of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan in 2023, had previously shared the screen in the critically acclaimed 2021 war drama Shershaah.

Helmed by the skilled Geetu Mohandas, Toxic promises to be a lavish spectacle, touted as one of the most expensive Indian films ever shot in both Kannada and English. Backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Yash in a dynamic dual role, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and, of course, Kiara Advani.
The anticipation is palpable as advance bookings have already set the stage ablaze, with the film raking in a whopping ₹18 crore on its opening day, a full three days before its grand premiere set for August 26.
