Business Desk- Gold Silver Price Today: The futures price of gold for June contract on Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) fell by 0.51% to Rs 157,737 per 10 grams. Similarly, the futures price of silver for July contract fell by 1.39% to Rs 268,107 per kg.

The general public has got relief from this fall in the prices of gold and silver. Compared to the previous closing price, gold has become cheaper by Rs 713 and silver by Rs 3,119. On Friday, the last trading day of last week, the price of gold on MCX closed at Rs 158,450 per 10 grams, while silver closed at Rs 271,226 per kg.

In Mumbai, the price of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,56,920 per 10 grams, while in Bhopal it stood at Rs 1,56,970 per 10 grams.

In the major cities of South India, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the price of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,56,220 per 10 grams. In Kolkata also, gold was seen trading at the same level.

Talking about 22 carat gold, its price in New Delhi was Rs 1,43,990 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,43,840 and in Bhopal it was recorded at Rs 1,43,890 per 10 grams. The highest price of 22 carat gold in Chennai was Rs 1,47,490.

The price of 18 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,17,840 per 10 grams in New Delhi, while it was recorded at Rs 1,17,690 per 10 grams in Mumbai and Rs 1,17,740 per 10 grams in Bhopal. In Chennai, 18 carat gold reached the level of Rs 1,23,090 per 10 grams, which is higher than other cities.

According to experts, due to the rise in gold prices in the international market, the strength of the dollar and global economic uncertainty, gold remains expensive in the domestic market. The demand for gold remains strong due to the increasing inclination of investors towards safe investments.

Last week, the price of silver had crossed the Rs 300,000 per kg mark. However, after that there was a significant decline. Today, the price of one kilogram of silver remained stable at Rs 279,900 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Bhopal. Apart from this, the price of silver in Chennai reached Rs 289,900 per kg.

Due to fall in gold and silver prices

There is a decline in the domestic commodity market, the main reason for which is the weak signals from the global market. Following the rise in US treasury yields and US dollar, both domestic and international commodity markets remain under pressure.

Crude oil prices have increased due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East. Due to this, concerns about inflation have increased, due to which expectations of a possible increase in interest rates have also increased.
