Good news for railway passengers! Expansion of third railway line on this route in UP

News Desk. An important step has been taken towards providing great relief and better connectivity to railway passengers in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. After getting approval from the Railway Board, the construction unit of North Eastern Railway has rapidly started the remaining work of the third railway line. This project will play an important role in making rail traffic easier and faster in the region.

Work begins on the remaining portion of approximately 5 kilometers

The work of laying the third railway line is being done in about 5 km long stretch between Gonda Junction and Kachari Railway Station. This work has been started from June 10, which is targeted to be completed by July 10. During this period, the track will be completely prepared through pre non-interlocking and interlocking works.

CRS inspection will be held on July 10

After completion of the construction work, inspection will be done by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) on July 10. After getting approval from the inspection, the operation of trains on the third line on this route is expected to start.

Mega block of 40 days, many trains affected

Due to the construction work of the third line, mega block has been imposed for about 40 days. During this period, Railways has made changes in many trains keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. About 40 trains have been cancelled, about 53 trains have been diverted.

Railway network will get big benefit

According to railway officials, this project will prove to be a milestone in improving rail traffic in Gonda and surrounding areas. After the commencement of the third line, the delay in trains will reduce and the operating efficiency will also improve.

Passengers will get better facilities

After the completion of this project, rail operations in Gonda region will become more smooth. Goods transportation will also gain momentum with the commencement of movement of trains on platform numbers 7 and 8 built in the goods warehouse area.
