Lucknow. Big news has come for the farmers and industry of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gifted development projects worth about Rs 548 crore to the district during a program organized in Hathras. During this, he emphasized on many schemes to increase the income of farmers and strengthen the agriculture sector.
The Chief Minister said that now a processing center will be developed to provide better prices to the farmers producing potatoes in Hathras area. With this, farmers will not have to depend only on selling raw crops, but their chances of getting more profits after processing the crop will increase.
Farmers will get the benefit of food processing
The focus of Yogi government is on connecting agriculture with modern technology and industry. Through the proposed processing centre, farmers will be able to get a better market for their produce. Along with this, there is a plan to promote projects related to large cold storage, food processing units and dairy in the area. Considering the agricultural potential of Braj region, these facilities can help the farmers in keeping their crops safe and reaching the market at the right time.
Hathras industries will get a new identity
The Chief Minister said that a large number of MSME units are working in Hathras. Work is also being done to provide better infrastructure to these small and medium industries. Apart from this, under the One District-One Product scheme, emphasis is being laid on developing modern packaging and export facilities to take the famous asafoetida and gulal industry of Hathras to the international market.
New avenues of employment will be created for the youth
After this project comes on the ground, economic activities are expected to increase in the area. New opportunities may arise in sectors related to agriculture, industry, processing and export. As per the government plan, such development works will increase direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local youth. This is also likely to strengthen the economy of Hathras and surrounding areas.
