New Delhi . The ongoing public dispute between Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja is once again in the news. After Sunita's recent statements, now Govinda has given his response through a video. Expressing his displeasure over his wife's allegations and comments, he said that Sunita is leaving no stone unturned to defame him.
Govinda said in his statement that Sunita is interfering in the work in which he is currently busy. He claimed that when Sunita was involved in activities related to the show, he had asked her daughter Tina to call her in the lockup. Govinda's statement indicated that his arrival on the show was not entirely of his own free will.
The actor also said that he never faced any kind of interference in his work, but now that he has started film work, such things are being said against him continuously, which can affect his image and professional work. Govinda said that he does not want his reputation among people to be tarnished due to such things or his work to be affected.
The controversy started further when Sunita gave a strong reaction to Govinda when he was seen with actress Rani. According to the report, he had made objectionable remarks about the closeness of Govinda and Rani. After this Govinda publicly expressed his displeasure.
Govinda also defended Rani in his statement. He said that no one should be insulted or defamed who is struggling for his career in the film industry. He said that someone having more fame, respect or wealth does not mean that he should humiliate another person.
The actor also advised Sunita to exercise restraint during this period. He said that no person should be embarrassed or defamed to such a level that he gets scared and retreats from his work. According to Govinda, every person should get an opportunity to move forward with respect.
This controversy has come to light at a time when Sunita had recently become a part of the show Lockup. However, his presence in the show did not last long. She was out of the show citing ill health. After this, Govinda and his daughter Tina reached the place related to the show to take him back.
During this time, actress and host of the show Farah Khan had also asked Govinda to take care of Sunita. He had appealed to Govinda to be understanding and caring towards Sunita regarding her behaviour.
