According to Pakistani media reports, Zubair Baloch, brother of notorious gangster Uzair Baloch, has been seriously injured in a fierce gunfight by unknown assailants in the Chakiwara police station area of Lyari. According to Pakistani police officials, the incident occurred while Zubair Baloch was sitting peacefully outside his home. Suddenly, two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle targeted him and opened fire indiscriminately. In this sudden, deadly attack, Zubair was hit by multiple bullets, leaving him bleeding to the ground. Two other civilians passing by were also injured. Immediately after the incident, all three injured were admitted to a nearby hospital in Karachi, where they are currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors.

Police officer Syed Asad Raza confirmed that Zubair has seven criminal cases registered against him in various police stations and has been jailed several times. Initial investigations suggest that rivals may have orchestrated the attack, stemming from a dispute over Zubair’s recent joining of a political party and the posting of flags and posters in the area. Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, police are raiding Zubair’s hideouts in search of the attackers.
