New Delhi. In view of the increase in cases of influenza in Delhi, the Health Department has intensified surveillance and preparations of hospitals. In the capital so far this year 2,602 influenza cases Have come to light, in which 1,777 patients have been found infected with H1N1. To review the situation, a high-level meeting is being organized under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr Pankaj Singh at the Delhi Secretariat on Monday. In the meeting, the current situation of infection will be discussed with health officials of municipal bodies and senior officials of government hospitals. Apart from this, the availability of beds, medicines, testing facilities, medical equipment and preparations for the treatment of serious patients in hospitals will also be reviewed.
H1N1 leads in cases of influenza A
According to Health Department data, 2,602 cases were reported in Delhi. 2,392 influenza-A And 210 are cases of influenza-B. Among the cases of influenza-A, 1,777 H1N1, 138 H3, 37 H1 and 440 other types have been reported. According to the data, H1N1 remains the most dominant subtype of influenza A this year.
114 H1N1 patients found in one day on August 20
According to the Health Department, cases of influenza were reported in a single day in Delhi on August 20. 159 new cases Had come forward. Of these, 155 cases were of Influenza-A and 114 patients of H1N1 alone were found. Considering the number of cases reported in a day, the Health Department is continuously monitoring the situation of infection. The focus of the officials is on timely identification of patients and providing treatment.
Special monitoring in 35 hospitals
