Mumbai: Hanuman Ansh has emerged as a surprise box-office success, continuing its strong theatrical run weeks after its release. The Vishal Chaturvedi-directed spiritual drama, which opened to around Rs 10 lakh, has now crossed Rs 350 crore worldwide.
With a worldwide collection of Rs 366.45 crore, Hanuman Ansh has moved ahead of Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and is now within reach of Border 2. However, Dhurandhar 2 remains significantly ahead of the film.
Hanuman Ansh overtakes Toxic
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups ended its theatrical run with around Rs 342.07 crore worldwide, according to the figures cited in the source material.
Hanuman Ansh, meanwhile, has reached Rs 366.45 crore worldwide, putting it approximately Rs 24.38 crore ahead of Toxic.
The difference becomes more notable when the two films’ openings are compared. Toxic, starring Yash, was a major star-led release, while Hanuman Ansh was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 2 crore and began its theatrical journey with a modest Rs 10 lakh opening.
The film struggled during its initial weeks, collecting only around Rs 1.5 crore in its first two weeks. Its fortunes changed later as positive word of mouth brought more audiences to theatres.
Dhurandhar 2 remains far ahead
The gap between Hanuman Ansh and the Dhurandhar films is considerably larger.

Hanuman Ansh currently has a reported India net collection of Rs 280.93 crore. It therefore needs another Rs 48.50 crore to surpass Border 2‘s domestic net collection.
On the worldwide front, the gap is around Rs 98.05 crore, with Border 2 at approximately Rs 464.50 crore and Hanuman Ansh at Rs 366.45 crore.
Whether Hanuman Ansh can close that gap will depend on how long the film continues to attract audiences and how its collections hold up in the coming days.
Hanuman Ansh box-office collection
On Day 47, Hanuman Ansh had reportedly collected Rs 280.93 crore net in India, while its India gross stood at Rs 331.70 crore.
The film added another Rs 1 crore from overseas markets on Day 47, taking its overseas gross to Rs 34.75 crore. Its worldwide gross consequently reached Rs 366.45 crore.
The week-wise figures highlight the unusual trajectory of the film.
It earned only Rs 1.08 crore in its first week and Rs 40 lakh in the second week. Collections subsequently improved sharply, reaching Rs 10.40 crore in Week 3.
The film then recorded Rs 61 crore in Week 4, followed by Rs 90.25 crore in Week 5 and Rs 80.25 crore in Week 6.
It added another Rs 37.55 crore in its seventh week so far, indicating that the film has maintained a substantial theatrical presence well beyond its slow opening.
A remarkable turnaround
The performance of Hanuman Ansh represents a significant turnaround from its initial box-office trajectory.
From a Rs 10 lakh opening and around Rs 1.5 crore in its first two weeks, the film has gone on to accumulate more than Rs 366 crore worldwide.
Its continued collections have allowed it to overtake Toxic and bring Border 2 within sight, although a sizeable gap remains before it can match the latter’s worldwide total.
For now, the film’s extended run and sustained audience response remain central to whether it can continue climbing the 2026 box-office charts.
