After being left out of the team for the home ODI series against West Indies, now this veteran all-rounder may also be out of the three-match unofficial 50-over series against Australia A. After a long wait of more than four months, Hardik was about to return to the field through India A, but the recurring pain in his right calf has ruined his comeback plans.
Hardik Pandya’s return stuck again!
According to media reports, 32-year-old Hardik Pandya has been feeling fresh severe pain in his right calf for the last few days. Considering the severity of the pain, some important medical scans have been done recently. After which the doctors and medical team have advised him to take rest and caution instead of participating in any match. Let us tell you, Hardik is already present in the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, where he is undergoing rigorous rehab to recover from his old injuries.
Missed from IPL to Asian Games
The year 2026 has proved to be very disappointing for Hardik Pandya in terms of injuries. As the captain of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026, he could not play in at least four matches of the season due to injury, due to which Suryakumar Yadav was made the captain. Then due to fitness problems, Hardik remained out of the tours of Ireland, England and Zimbabwe. Along with this, he could not be a part of the home T20 series against Afghanistan, the home series against West Indies and the Asian Games 2026.
With the intention of making a comeback in international cricket, the selectors had included him in the 50-over series against Australia A so that he could prove his match-fitness, but recurring shin injury has stopped his roadmap. Due to which he may miss playing the series against Australia A.
