According to the report of The Indian Express, he was living here under the name of 'Sada Ram', hiding his real name. Sometimes he searched for a room, then got a job as a security guard and finally opened a small tea shop in front of Lal Mata Temple. The most surprising thing was that even the people who helped him had no idea of his real identity.
In the approximately 25 days before his death, Koli changed his place of residence and work several times. After reaching Haridwar from Roshnabad, he started selling tea and biscuits, but this work also could not last long.
How did you meet Jai Kashyap?
According to the report, about 25 days ago, 28-year-old Jai Kashyap met a person in Roshnabad. The person told his name as Sada Ram and said that he had come from Almora. He told about the need for a room to live and a job. Jai Kashyap helped him and tried to find a room and work for him. Jai told The Indian Express that he had always known the man only as Sada Ram. He had no further information about him. According to Jai, he met her at a friend's house, where he was asked to help find a place to stay for Sada Ram.
Avoided giving Aadhaar card, left the room
Sada Ram i.e. Surendra Kumar Koli stayed in a room in Roshnabad for a few days. After this the landlord asked him for identity documents. According to Jai Kashyap, he did not want to submit his Aadhar card. For this reason he finally left that room. After some time Jai came to know that he was going to Haridwar. He had told that Dharmendra Bhai i.e. Dharmendra Kaushik has taken a shop on rent in his name and has given it to Sada Ram to run. After this there was no conversation between Jai and Sada Ram. Jai said that he helped him just as a human being, because he often helps people in his area to find vacant rooms and work.
First worked as a security guard
Police sources said that Koli had come to Haridwar about one and a half months ago. During this time, he got a job as a security guard in a factory. However, he left this work also. After this, Dharmendra Kaushik helped him get a job as a guard in an apartment through a firm. But Koli did not do this job for long and left it too.
Tea shop rented three days before death
According to police sources, about three days before his death, Koli had rented a small tea shop in front of Lal Mata Temple on Bhupatwala Road. This shop was taken in the name of Dharmendra Kaushik. After this, Koli brought his goods there from Roshnabad and started living inside the same small shop. There he started selling tea and biscuits. His business could last only for two-three days.
Dharmendra Kaushik saw that the shutter was closed
According to the report, around 10 am on Friday, Dharmendra Kaushik found Koli dead inside the shop and informed the police. According to the police, the shutter of the shop was closed. Kaushik knocked the shutter, but got no response from inside. Initially they thought that Koli might be sleeping. It was told that Koli had diabetes. Later his body was found inside.
Police expressed suspicion of suicide
Haridwar City Circle Officer Shishupal Singh Negi said that initially the case seems to be a suicide. Police did not find any suicide note from the spot. The post mortem is being done by sending the body to Haridwar District Hospital. A diary has also been found from the shop. According to the police, accounts related to daily expenses and work are seen written in it. The police have taken the diary into their custody.
