Shamli: There was a stir in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh due to the firing of bullets on Wednesday evening. Famous singer and actor of Haryanvi music industry, Ankit Balyan was shot dead as soon as he came out of the gym. It is being told that the attackers fired about 20 rounds. Ankit died on the spot after being shot in the head.
The incident took place in Shamli Kotwali area. Ankit had reached the gym to work out as usual at around 7 pm on Wednesday evening. After finishing the training, he came out and was moving towards his car about 20-25 meters away. Meanwhile, four miscreants who had already ambushed them suddenly started firing at them. According to eyewitnesses, the four attackers had come on foot and had pistols in their hands. The miscreants fired continuously at Ankit and fled from the spot after the incident.
Who was Ankit Balyan?
Ankit Baliyan was a resident of Bantikheda village of Shamli district. For the last few years, he was working in the field of singing and acting while living in Rohtak and Sonipat, Haryana. He got special recognition in Haryanvi music from his famous song 'Bhari Court Mein Goli Maarenge Meri Jaan'. It is being told that Ankit used to come to this gym regularly for about a year. Even on Wednesday, he had reached the gym normally, but as soon as he came out, the miscreants killed him.
Police started investigation
There is an atmosphere of tension and panic in the area after the incident. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. A blockade has been set up to search for the attackers. SP NP Singh said that four unknown miscreants killed Ankit while coming out of the gym. Police is busy searching for the accused. At present the reason for the murder is not clear. Initially there is a suspicion of old rivalry or gang war.
