What is Hong Kong Sixes?
Hong Kong Sixes was started in the year 1992. It is a fast-paced cricket format played between teams of 6 players. In this format each innings is of 5 to 6 overs. Except the wicketkeeper, it is mandatory for all the five players of the fielding team to bowl at least one over.
As soon as the batsman completes 50 runs, he has to 'retire not out'. If all the wickets fall then he can come to the crease to bat again. In the event of 5 wickets falling, the last batsman bats alone on strike with the help of the runner until the sixth wicket falls or the overs are over.
