How much toll tax will bikes, cars and big vehicles have to pay on Ganga Expressway?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Uttar Pradesh today. During this, he will inaugurate the longest expressway of Uttar Pradesh. The PM will inaugurate this expressway at 11 am in a program organized in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. This project has been built at a total cost of Rs 35,230 crore. This expressway passes through 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh. From today you will also be able to drive your car on this expressway.
After the commencement of this expressway, i.e. from today, the journey from Meerut to Prayagraj will become faster and easier than before. This journey will take less time than before. However, there is a question in the minds of people that how much will they have to spend to travel on this expressway. That means how much toll tax will have to be paid. Along with this, such questions are arising in the minds of people as to how they will have to make the payment.

Toll will be imposed on bike tractor also
Generally, bikes and tractor-trolleys are exempted from toll tax on national highways. However, there are some select state expressways on which tax is collected from bikes and tractors also. Ganga Expressway is joining the list of such expressways. Bike and tractor drivers traveling through this route will also have to pay toll tax. Bikes and tractors will have to pay toll tax at the rate of Rs 1.28 per kilometer. That means, if you cover this entire expressway, you will have to pay toll tax of around Rs 750.
How much tax on other vehicles?
- Cars, jeeps and light vehicles – Rs 2.50 per kilometer
- Bus and Truck – Rs 8.20 per kilometer
- Two-wheeler, three-wheeler and tractor – Rs 1.28 per kilometer
- Light commercial vehicle, mini bus – Rs 4.05 per kilometer
- Heavy machinery, multiaxle vehicles – Rs 12.60 per kilometer
- Oversize vehicle – Rs 16.10 per kilometer

Which districts will the expressway connect?
This expressway connects 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh. These districts include Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. With the opening of this expressway, the journey between Meerut and Prayagraj will be reduced. There is also a possibility of promotion of business in this area.
