2. Check the packaging and seal carefully
Fake engine oil can also be identified by its packaging. The packaging of oils from genuine and good companies is neat and professional. Many small mistakes are found on the same fake oil bottles. If the printing on the bottle is gray, spelling is incorrect or the logo is slanted, etc., then one should be wary of buying such oil. Most of the big companies these days provide a QR code and batch number, which can be used to identify it. If this number is missing or unrecognizable, the oil should be recognized as counterfeit.
3. Performance of the car
If your car is performing less than before, it is a sign of bad engine oil. A bad or old oil cannot lubricate the engine properly, causing a lot of problems for the car. For example, if the engine makes a rattling or ticking sound, it means that the oil is not working properly. This happens when there is too much friction between engine parts. Also old bad engine oil can’t reduce engine heat. This causes the problem of overheating and the mileage also starts to decrease.
