Bumper demand from investors in IPO market: 10 IPOs were subscribed more than 100 times in August, old record broken

Business Desk – The month of August 2026 was very special for stock market investors. There was tremendous enthusiasm about the shares of companies among those who invested money in IPO. A total of 23 IPOs were launched in August, out of which 10 IPOs received more than 100 times subscription. This figure is the largest in any single month since 2006.

That means investors bid for more than 100 times the shares of these companies compared to the shares offered in their IPO. This shows the strong interest of investors in the IPO market in August.

High-tech engineers at the forefront

Hi-tech engineers remained at the forefront among the top IPOs of August. The company's IPO received 244.41 times subscription. That means there were about 244 times more bids than the offered shares. Tempsense Instruments India was at second position. Its IPO received 183.53 times subscription. Whereas the IPO of ESDS Software Solutions was subscribed 135.88 times and it stood at third position.

These 7 IPOs also got more than 100 times subscription

Apart from the top-3, IPOs of seven more companies also crossed the subscription mark of more than 100 times. These include RD Industries, Lumino Industries, Augmont Enterprises, Bihari Lal Engineering, Sunshine Pictures, ShipRocket and Priority Jewels. There were strong bids from investors in the IPO of these companies and all of them received more than 100 times subscription.

August went far ahead of the old record

This record made in August 2026 has left the previous monthly figures far behind. Earlier, 7 IPOs in September 2024 and 5 IPOs in January 2025 had received more than 100 times subscription. So far in 2026, there have been a total of 15 IPOs which have received more than 100 times subscription. Before August, 3 IPOs in July, 2 in June and 2 in January had crossed this figure of Bharat Coking Coal IPO.

Such enthusiasm was seen in 2024 also

If we look at the old data, in 2024, out of total 91 IPOs, 23 IPOs got more than 100 times subscription. In 2021, 17 out of 63 IPOs had crossed this figure. A total of 103 IPOs were launched in 2025 and 15 of these received more than 100 times subscription. 2025 was a record year in terms of fund raising.

The figures for August 2026 show that the demand and enthusiasm of investors in the IPO market remained very strong this month. 10 IPOs being subscribed more than 100 times in a single month is a big record for the Indian stock market.
