Delhi Weather: Despite rain in Delhi-NCR, people are not getting respite from the humid heat. On Tuesday, light to moderate rain and thundershowers were seen in many areas, but even after this the weather remained humid. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be very light to light rain in Delhi even today. However, there is no possibility of any major change in the temperature during the next seven days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be generally cloudy today. During the night, there may be light rain in some areas of Delhi, while at some places there may be moderate rain. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. During this period, south-eastern winds can blow at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour.
Maximum temperature dropped 3-4 degrees in 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, thunder and lightning and light to moderate rain were recorded in most parts of Delhi. There was not much change in the minimum temperature, but a drop of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius was recorded in the maximum temperature. During this period the minimum temperature was between 23 to 27 degrees and the maximum temperature was between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius.
Along with the wind, the humidity level also remained quite high. Maximum humidity was recorded at 100 percent and minimum at 84 percent.
Highest rainfall in Mayur Vihar
According to IMD’s 24-hour data, Mayur Vihar received the highest rainfall of 38.0 mm till 8:30 am. 10.6 mm rainfall was recorded in Rajghat and 27.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Noida. Whereas, 4.0 mm rainfall was recorded in Safdarjung, 3.7 mm in Ridge, 3.0 mm in Pusa, 1.4 mm in Palam and 1.5 mm in Lodhi Road.
