The company has created another big history in the Indian market. This car, which entered the country in the year 2008, has crossed a huge sales figure and has recorded total sales of more than 15 lakh units.
For the last 18 years, this car has been setting new benchmarks in its segment. Even though the trend of compact SUVs has increased in the market with the changing times, the demand for i20 among the customers still remains due to its great looks, premium features and reliable performance.

Standard i20: It has a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates power of 83 bhp. For transmission, it has the option of 5-speed manual and iVT automatic gearbox.
i20 N Line (Performance Edition): For those who prefer a sporty driving experience, there is the option of the i20 N Line. It has a 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol engine, which is paired with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The starting ex-showroom price of Hyundai i20 in the Indian market starts from ₹6.00 lakh and goes up to ₹10.48 lakh for the top model. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of its more powerful variant i20 N Line has been kept between ₹ 9.27 lakh to ₹ 11.74 lakh.
Will the new-generation model be seen soon?
Internationally, Hyundai has introduced the new-generation avatar of the i20, which is built on the new K3 platform. The global model comes with high-tech features like a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen system, digital console, wireless connectivity and Advanced Safety Package (Hyundai SmartSense ADAS).
However, no official confirmation has been made by the company yet regarding when this new model will be launched in the Indian market. But the milestone sales of 15 lakhs prove that the dominance of this car in India continues even today.
