Recently, Reem Shaikh, who appeared on YouTuber Shardul Pandit’s podcast, spoke openly about her personal life. When she was asked that if she fell in love with a boy from another religion, would she marry him? To this Reem replied very seriously. She said, “It depends on each person’s own thinking, but I am a very religious person. Perhaps many people may not know this, but I can proudly say that I am a five-time worshipper.”

Concern expressed regarding adjustment

Reem continued saying that she would not be able to live with a boy from another religion. She argued, “I offer Namaz five times a day and last year I also kept all the fasts. Whenever there is any problem in my life, I directly spread my Jaanmaaz (seat for offering Namaz) and sit down. In such a situation, I will not be able to adjust with someone who does not belong to my religion. I know that people will abuse or troll me for this statement, but I cannot change my truth.”

Gave a befitting reply to trollers

Reem also expressed her opinion regarding trolling on social media. He said that in his religion, first of all, it is forbidden to judge anyone. He said, “Those who abuse others should understand that it is wrong to judge anyone. In our religion, if someone does not keep the fast, we cannot question him as to why he did not keep the fast.”

Revelation on parents’ divorce and childhood struggles

During the interview, Reem also talked about her parents’ divorce. He told that his childhood was full of difficulties. Due to the daily fights and violence between his parents at home, he had developed a lot of anger and fear. She told that these circumstances had such a deep impact on her that at one time she could not muster the courage to even talk to anyone.
