The Chinese administration brought major changes in the defense law. From now on, in war or any major crisis, the Chinese administration will not be dependent only on the army. If necessary, the government can also use ordinary citizens, non-governmental organizations or other national resources. On August 28, the Chinese parliament approved this amendment to the defense law. Which is going to be effective from October 1.
This strange law not only allowed citizens to use their wealth, but also provided for its confiscation if necessary. Punishment has also been provided for any citizen who obstructs or deliberately delays the same. It is known that this is the first time since 2010 that such a big change has been made in the Defense Act. 14 Chapters and 82 Sections have been added to the new Act. According to China, the aim of this law is to quickly turn on the war switch in the country in case of any threat. And economic and social forces can be channeled towards defence. In addition to development interests, the new law also includes the protection of the country's sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and security.

The new law also states that the country's transport, postal, telecommunication, cyber security, medical and pharmaceutical supply, food and grain supply and engineering sectors should be ready to perform defense-related responsibilities if such a situation arises. The units in the respective areas should form special teams and train them so that they can act quickly. Here cyber security is specifically included by the government. Besides, it has been called to increase the defense capability through the use of new and advanced technology. It is also known that some of China's defense laws may also apply to people living outside the country. This means that actions taken abroad may also come under Chinese law.
China's new law has started to be discussed in international circles. It is believed that this law is actually a preparation for China's war. Theresa Fallon, director of the Brussels-based Center for Russia Europe Asia Studies, expressed concern over the law. According to him, it is really difficult to ignore that the risk of war is increasing around the world. Chinese President Xi Jinping has started preparations by learning from Russia-Ukraine, Iran-Israel-America.
