If you want to see the magical view of 'Valley of Flowers' in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, IRCTC has brought a special trekking package of 6 days.

New Delhi. If you want to take a break from the busy life and tiredness of work and spend relaxing time near nature in this monsoon season, then a great opportunity has come for you. Colorful flowers blooming all around, greenery spread all around and snowy mountains standing in front, the view of 'Valley of Flowers' located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand looks very magical these days. To enable tourists to experience this beautiful journey, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with a 6-day special trekking package.

Best time to visit: August-September

Located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, this valley is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Although this place is open for limited time in the year, the months of August to September are considered to be the most favorable time to visit here. During this time, hundreds of species of rare flowers like Himalayan Rose, Blue Poppy and River Anemone are in full bloom throughout the valley. This special tour package of IRCTC is for 6 days and 5 nights.

Complete route and main attractions of the journey: In this 6-day trekking journey, tourists will get the opportunity to visit many other natural and religious places of Uttarakhand apart from the Valley of Flowers.

Rishikesh and Pipalkoti: The journey will start from Rishikesh at 6:00 am. After reaching Pipalkoti from here, you will enjoy the first stop of your journey.

Govindghat and Ghangaria: After going by car from Pipalkoti to Govindghat and Pulna, the main foot trek starts. From here one has to climb 9 kilometers on foot to reach Ghangaria, which is the base camp of the Valley of Flowers.

Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib: From Ghangaria, there will be a trip to the Valley of Flowers on the third day. The next day involves a climb to the holy pilgrimage site of the Sikhs, 'Sri Hemkund Sahib'.

Badrinath Dham Darshan: During the return trip, tourists will also get a chance to visit Lord Badrinath Dham without any extra fee.

Features and physical fitness of the trek

In this tour, tourists will be provided hotel/homestay arrangements, food and local transport facility to and from Rishikesh. Also, experienced trek guides will remain with you for safety during the entire journey.
