According to the information given on the official social media handle of SBI Bank, ‘Due to scheduled maintenance work, SBI UPI service will not be available for some time from 00:15 PM to 01:00 AM on 04.09.2026 (IST). However, this work can be completed before time also. Customers can continue to use the UPI Lite service to avail the service without any interruption. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers.
Will be able to do transactions up to Rs 1,000
The bank has ensured that no customer is inconvenienced during this period. An option has also been given for this. As an alternative, you can choose the option of UPI Lite. Let us tell you, in this service provided by the bank, UPI PIN is not required for small amount transactions. That means, if you pay someone up to Rs 1,000, you do not need to enter any PIN for that.
What is the limit for UPI transactions?
Let us tell you, the limit for UPI transactions has been set by SBI. According to him, the bank allows transactions to 20 people every day. Whereas the standard price limit of UPI transaction is Rs 1 lakh. Whereas the limit for those doing business is double the normal. That means they can do daily transactions up to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, a limit of up to Rs 5 lakh has been fixed for some account holders.
