In UMANG App still work for EPFO service stop, PF balance check and claim in this way
New Delhi: Many users are still facing difficulties in online services of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Especially employees who want to check PF balance, UAN activation and PF claim through UMANG App are facing problem.
EPFO’s portal was closed on 26 June 2026 in the name of upgrade to make the service faster and easier. The portal was then relaunched on July 3. EPFO said significant database and software upgrades have been completed to improve member and employer services.
Maintenance message still appears on UMANG App
Even after the launch of the portal, EPFO’s services are not fully available on UMANG App. Many users are also experiencing difficulty in logging into the app.
A message is appearing on opening EPFO service on UMANG App, stating that website maintenance work is going on and the service will be restarted soon.
Complaint of delay in PF claim also
Many employees have complained that they have applied for PF claim, but the amount has not been credited to their account even after a long time.
According to some users, the claim is not processed even after 15 to 20 days. However, EPFO has said that claim processing may take some time after the upgrade.
How to check PF balance and claim?
In case of problem in UMANG App, employees can get PF information in following ways:
1. Through EPFO Portal:
- Go to the official website of EPFO
- Login with UAN number and password
- Check PF balance in passbook
- Can apply for claim online
2. Through SMS:
PF balance can be known by SMS from registered mobile number.
3. By Missed Call:
PF balance information can also be obtained by making a missed call from a mobile number registered with EPFO.
