Even before the arrival of the Indian team, the series has become a hot topic in New Zealand. According to New Zealand Cricket, more than 1,10,000 tickets have been sold for the India tour so far. Of these, 63,000 tickets are for the five-match T20 international series alone.
Both the T20 Internationals at Hagley Oval in Christchurch and the match at Seddon Park in Hamilton are completely sold out. Meanwhile, the demand for tickets for the fourth T20 international match at Eden Park in Auckland on October 30 is also steadily increasing. New Zealand Cricket is hoping that this match against India at Eden Park can break the record for the highest attendance for a bilateral cricket match. The current record attendance at this ground is 36,523. Given the current pace of ticket sales, the stadium is likely to be filled to capacity by early next week.

According to Critchley, cricket fans are looking forward to the start of the summer season and there can be no better start than playing T20 World Champions India at home. He also said that since both teams entered Christchurch, the atmosphere and enthusiasm has increased. He hoped that the match against India in Auckland would be memorable in terms of attendance.
