The first test match of this series will be played from 15 to 19 August at the beautiful International Cricket Stadium in Galle. Immediately after this, the second and last Test match of the series will be held at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo from 23 to 27 August. Both these matches will start at 10 am according to Indian and Sri Lankan time.

To reach the final of the World Test Championship, it is very important for both India and Sri Lanka to win this series.
