Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the complete schedule of this series on Thursday. This Test series is going to be very important for both the teams in terms of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-2027.
The first test match of this series will be played from 15 to 19 August at the beautiful International Cricket Stadium in Galle. Immediately after this, the second and last Test match of the series will be held at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo from 23 to 27 August. Both these matches will start at 10 am according to Indian and Sri Lankan time.
Eye on WTC final under the captaincy of Shubman Gill
To reach the final of the World Test Championship, it is very important for both India and Sri Lanka to win this series. At present, if we talk about the points table, the Indian team captained by Shubman Gill is at fifth position with a points percentage (PCT) of 48.15 after 9 matches. At the same time, Sri Lankan team remains at sixth position with 44.44 PCT.

Matches will start after Lanka Premier League
