The veteran opener smashed his 35th ODI century with the help of 10 fours and 6 sixes while playing a crucial role in India's massive chase of 406, giving his critics yet another proof of his ability.
The 39-year-old batsman also completed 12,000 ODI runs during his innings, making him the third Indian batsman to achieve the milestone. His century was his second in his last three ODI innings and it came at a crucial time when India were chasing the mammoth target set by the West Indies.

Rohit completed his century by taking one run in 72 balls. Instead of a restrained celebration, he jumped into the middle of the pitch and punched the air, symbolizing how important the moment was to him. He eventually returned to the pavilion after scoring 101 runs in 75 balls, but Shubhman Gill Together with India, it took India to a strong position.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill lead India towards record target
West Indies, batting first, made a huge score of 405/7, in which John Campbell, shy hope And Ameer Jung Scored centuries. Campbell scored 101, Hope 104 and Jangu scored 114 runs, which helped the visiting team put pressure on India. India responded strongly, with Rohit and Gill putting together a 255-run opening partnership.
Rohit's 101 provided a perfect platform for Gill, who played an extraordinary unbeaten 223 to snatch the chase from West Indies. India eventually won by an impressive eight wickets, scoring 406/2 in just 43.3 overs. Gill's double century was the highlight of this chase, but Rohit's century and the joyous celebration that followed added another memorable moment to India's brilliant performance.
